About this presentation: The Community Engagement Division of the Attorney General’s Office will be providing a presentation on Everyday Scams and Identity Theft. Covered in the presentation are details of some of the most common phone, mail, and computer scams, including the IRS Scam, Grandparent Scam, and Tech Support Scam, as well information on how to recognize and protect yourself and your clients from these scammers. The presentation will also provide guidance on how to recognize Identity Theft, and steps to take to protect yourself and your clients if your identity has been stolen and touch on consumer rights in door to door sales, and common sales tactics of which to be aware.
